Our Other Projects
At Gurmat Bhawan, we remain committed to enriching the lives of our community through a variety of other impactful projects.
Among these, we proudly maintain the MEHNGA SINGH SARAF Dispensary, funded in his memory by his family through annual donations. This free Dispensary provides essential primary medical services to those in need, ensuring health care is accessible to all.
GIANI DiTT SINGH LIBRARY is a haven for knowledge seekers, offering a vast collection of books across various subjects and languages. With dedicated reading rooms, visitors can enjoy all the latest daily newspapers, as well as weekly and monthly magazines.
Two well equipped HALLS are provided for social and religious functions. These halls are open to everyone, regardless of social or economic status, offering a space for community gatherings and events.
Additionally, our CLOTH BANK initiative collects clothing donations from generous individuals, families and corporate partners, including major stores and malls through their CSR programs. We distribute these clothes directly to deserving individuals, reaching out to their communities and places of residence.
At Gurmat Bhawan, we host a vibrant SENIOR CITIZENS DAY CARE CENTRE, where our beloved seniors can enjoy a range of amenities designed to provide comfort and joy, including tea, snacks, meals and various entertainment options such as newspapers, magazines, books, television, radio and some indoor games. Every once in a while outings are also arranged for them to nearby places of interest in the Trust’s vehicle.
We, at Gurmat Bhawan, are also headquarters for the local office of FEDSEN (Federation of Senior Citizens Association of Punjab). Here FEDSEN conducts regular meetings aimed at empowering Senior citizens by raising awareness about their rights, privileges, and the numerous welfare schemes offered by the government and various NGOs.
