Transforming Lives: Empowering Street Children

Welcome to our specialized center, PHULWARI, dedicated to the upliftment of destitute and neglected street children. Since 1997, we have been committed to transforming the lives of children who were once engaged in street begging, rag-picking, and other petty jobs due to lack of proper parental support.

Our Mission

Our center is a safe haven for approximately 250 children, providing them with the essentials they need to thrive. In addition to primary education, each child receives:

Nutritious Meals: Balanced diets to ensure proper growth and health.
Seasonal Clothing: Suitable attire for both summer and winter.
Comprehensive Medical Care Regular check-ups and necessary medical aid.

Education and Vocational Training

We believe education, the right of every child, is the key to a better future. At our Elementary School, Phulwari, we offer free education till fifth grade. We provide all school books and stationery at no cost.

In addition to formal education, we equip our children with valuable vocational skills, preparing them to become self-reliant members of society.

A class 5 student loves coming to school daily. He intends to carry on his studies and wants to be a policeman when he is older.

He comes to school with his younger brother on the School Van like all other kids. He wants to become a doctor after completing his studies.

Punjabi language is the favourite subject of Srishti, belonging to a migrant family from Bengal. She dreams of becoming a teacher when she is older.

Our stars, the teachers work tirelessly and lovingly teaching the children and involving them in extracurricular activities. Good values, personal hygiene and some vocational skills are imbibed in them from the very beginning. Making ecobricks from waste plastic and candle making during festival season are worth mentioning here.
